Why Do You Always Write These Strong Women Characters?

  1. I really enjoyed this video. I have been a fan of Joss's work for a long time. His comment about the importance of both the influence of a strong, capable feminine presence and the masculine influence of those men who not only accept but enjoy the character of the strong woman provided a wonderful balance.
I think it is also true that we should not be "seeking" equality. Equality is already a reality. Getting people to acknowledge that reality is the task. Stopping discriminatory practices will not change long held interior attitudes and beliefs, but it is a start. Slaying the old cultural vampires that suck both our life force and our legacy, and not becoming embittered in the process, will require grace and determination.

  2. Fantastic video. His last quote says it all "Because you're asking me that question." Renee's right. Seeking equality isn't the answer, its ripping off the blinders that keep people from recognizing it.
